Like being buried alive, but more soothing

When all the power posing and vagus nerve yoga in the world couldn’t put you back together again, there was always the firm, leaden comfort of the weighted blanket. Pioneered to soothe and comfort neurodivergent children, the weighted blanket found a whole new audience in neurotypical adults overwhelmed by the overlapping harsh realities of 2020. Solace came in the form of a pleasingly high-pressure quilt that offered all the luxurious relaxation of a trip to the dentist for some X-rays.
